Softball PEI Minor League Rules - As of May 2023
Softball PEI Minor League Rules
All Minor Leagues and teams will follow the most recent and up to date version of Softball Canada rules. Listed below are some special operating rules (SOR) specific to Softball PEI.
All Games will have a 2-hour time limit with no new inning starting after the 1 hour and 45 minute mark. Inning must be announced as last inning by the umpire prior to the start of the inning. If the game starts late, the 1 hour 45-minute time limit is from the time the game started, not the initial scheduled start time. The final inning is now an open inning. Umpires will have the final say on the interpretation of this rule.
All canceled games are to be rescheduled within 72 hours by the home team. If not rescheduled within 72 hours, the canceling team will be invoiced a $250 fee
All league games to be played by end of season to qualify for provincials
