2027 PEI Whitecaps High Performance Team Tryouts

PRIDE. DEVELOPMENT. PERSEVERANCE.

Softball PEI is excited to begin preparations for the 2027 PEI Whitecaps High Performance Softball season. Tryouts will be held for athletes interested in competing with the U15, U17 and U19 Whitecaps teams.

The Whitecaps High Performance Program is designed to provide dedicated athletes with an opportunity to continue developing their skills in a competitive environment while representing Prince Edward Island at high-level competitions.

2027 Whitecaps Teams

Tryouts will be offered for:

• U15 Whitecaps Poster  (U15 Whitecaps Registration Form)
• U17 Whitecaps Poster
• U19 Whitecaps Poster
• Intermediate Whitecaps Poster

Athletes are encouraged to attend the tryout for their appropriate age division.

What to Expect

The Whitecaps tryout process will provide coaches with an opportunity to evaluate athletes in areas including offensive and defensive skills, pitching and catching where applicable, speed, game awareness, athletic ability, effort and coachability.

Athletes should arrive prepared with appropriate softball equipment, indoor or outdoor footwear as required, water and any position-specific equipment.

Selection is based on the overall needs of each team and the evaluation process established by the Whitecaps coaching staff and Softball PEI.

The PEI Whitecaps High Performance Program is focused on athlete development and providing opportunities for players to compete beyond the local association level.

The program emphasizes:

DEVELOPMENT — Building technical skills, game knowledge and confidence through quality coaching and competition.
PERSEVERANCE — Developing resilient athletes who are willing to work, compete and continue improving.

Selected athletes should expect a commitment that may include practices, training sessions, exhibition games, tournaments and travel throughout the 2027 season.
